MP MORAN AGREE NEW ELECTRIC FLEET FROM WELFAUX MH

Jun 08, 2021

An existing client of ours, reputable builders’ merchants MP Moran needed to replace their diesel forklifts to further a more sustainable approach to their operation. So they went electric.

Based in Watford, MP Moran is a family-run business supplying building and plumbing products to businesses across the UK, offering a one-stop shop for all trade products. Over the last 45 years, MP Moran has become a name associated with quality and reliability in and around the London area. Since 1976, MP Moran has been able to expand by opening another 4 branches around London and Hertfordshire as well as the first one in Kilburn all those years ago.

The business has developed a more sustainable approach in recent years to the way in which the business operates. MP Moran is aware of the negative impact diesel machines can have on air quality in a confined area. So, as an existing customer of ours, they approached us looking for a fleet of electric forklifts to replace their existing machinery. Switching to electric machinery will help reduce carbon footprint and cut down on maintenance and is a fantastic alternative. MP Moran’s warehouses in Willesden have solar panels on the roof, allowing minimal costs for electricity, meaning charging the vehicles will be free as well as helping the environment. A fleet of electric vehicles was the clear way forward.

In partnership with Combilift, we will be delivering some great new electric models to their Watford site later this year. Welfaux will be supplying two FB35N models from the Mitsubishi EDiA range. These are great for low-emission environments like the London region, thanks to their zero-emission technology. They are some of the most intelligent trucks on the market and some of the most durable. Packed with features, they deliver the manoeuvrability, power and reliability you expect from a Mitsubishi. Electric, counterbalance, 4-wheel solid pneumatic tyres, 80-volt AC power, all-weather use; everything about EDiA EX inspires confidence.

We are looking to deliver the models alongside a Combilift C4000ET around September this year, so MP Moran can crack on with the moving of goods and loading of lorries in a safer, cleaner, and less disruptive environment. We look forward to our ongoing partnership!

In the dynamic landscape of warehouses and storage facilities, making the most of every inch of available space is key to efficiency. For businesses dealing with limited room to manoeuvre, pedestrian forklifts and stackers have seen a huge rise in popularity. In this blog, we'll explore the numerous benefits these compact machines bring to the table when it comes to navigating small spaces.
