Here at Welfaux we have a rigorous refurbishment process, ensuring all of our used forklifts and trucks are finished to the highest standard, ready to help the next owner maximise the efficiency of their materials handling operations.
We don’t just paint over the cracks
When it comes to used forklifts, many forklift dealers will often just paint over the cracks, with a half-hearted refurbishment process that rarely delves into each key area of functionality. This lack of attention to detail often leads to businesses taking a financial hit, as well as business operations being delayed.
Meanwhile, at Welfaux we perform in depth inspections before, during and after the refurbishment, and make sure we’re 100% satisfied that our used forklifts are safe, sturdy and fully operational before placing them in the hands of our loyal customers.
Our inspection process for used forklifts includes:
- Fully cleaned chassis and welds are checked and repaired as required
- Mast and lift rams inspected and tested to ensure correct operation and condition
- Electronic control panel and steering is inspected and adjusted if necessary
- Foot and parking brake checked as well as shoes/pads adjusted and replaced
- We test all electric motors and brushes are replaced if required
- Engine and Transmission tested as well as wiring loom inspected
- As well as the battery charger fully cleaned and tested we perform a full preventative maintenance service
- We ensure the traction battery is cleaned, charged and checked alongside checking the tyres, lift chains and forks are cleaned and safely checked
- All appropriate safety decals are fitted and a full multipoint pre-delivery inspection and road test takes place
- Full CFTS thorough examination covering LOLER 98 & PUWER 98, with a safety certificate issued and supplied with operator manual

A nice, smooth delivery was made this week to our customer in RG10, who received a Mitsubishi PBP20N2R from us last year and have now received a refurbished 2016 Mitsubishi FGC70K and a new EP F4. A successful Monday morning delivery to a new customer in UB6. The customer had a tour around the truck and was shown all its functions by the salesman, before taking the FB16 into their warehouse, ready to use in their everyday running of Audio equipment and services. Christmas Dress Up Day in aid of St Barts Charity
On Tuesday we kitted out one of our existing customers with a whole warehouse of Racking and one of our refurbished Mitsubishi RB14N's to hire while installation is taking place. Both elements will ensure our customer has optimal space and manoeuvrability, that will last!! Training at Welfaux Welfaux employees took part in a Manual Handling Training course to ensure adequate safety, (both in the warehouse and at customer sites), when moving and/or lifting objects and equipment without the use of machinery. First off was the informative slideshow presented by our trainer Ray, followed by a testing of their knowledge and understanding, and then, the practical... All knees bent and straight backs ensured a pass for our team. With this information our team are not only providing a safe working environment for themselves but also for everyone working alongside them.
